Murder of Scarecrows is fun, pure American pulp adventure with true heroes and villains. There are no shades of grey here. Reed could not have asked for a better artist to complement his story than Wayne Reid who’s masterful black & white art harkens back to the days of Warren magazines like Creepy and Eerie. Good black and white art is sorely missed in this day of Photoshop enhanced comics.” - Tim Jansen, mania.com

A Tale of Rebellion! From the dark mist of Raven Cove, a mysterious figure known as the Scarecrow emerges to own the night. Symbolized as an avenging angel by the locals 'it' terrorizes the local garrison of stationed British soldiers and wealthy high society aristocrats who reign with a tight fist over the townspeople of a small seaport village in the American Colonies.

Set in the dramatic days just before the American Revolution, a masked avenger seeks to maintain the people's legal justice system in the small town of Seaton. As the embedded British troops seek to clamp down on a group of smugglers, only the Scarecrow and a band of "freedom riders" can stand against them and the tyranny of a newly appointed British commandant who takes control of the port...and one who threatens to destroy the entire town in order to catch the elusive Scarecrow.

"Reed has always been very unconventional. He doesn’t go after the quick and easy story but rather he tells stories his way. They might not be best-sellers, but they are of a quality that outdoes most other writers."- Mania.com
